The identities of these organizations and the details of their contributions are often hidden from consumers, and are considered to be "trade secrets" of highly opaque and unregulated AI supply chains.

For example, if your healthcare provider offers no secure email or any method of communication other than a "secure portal" used to share your sensitive medical information with data brokers and government agencies, you MIGHT WANT TO KNOW WHO THESE THIRD PARTIES ARE.
